IAI publishes 2025 fluoride emissions data

The International Aluminium Institute has published its 2025 fluoride emissions statistics, providing an updated overview of fluoride emissions from primary aluminium smelting across both prebake and Søderberg technologies.

Fluoride emissions are an important environmental consideration in the aluminium smelting process. Emission levels are influenced by the effectiveness of fume control systems, operational practices and technological improvements.

The annual publication of this data supports industry stakeholders in monitoring environmental performance and tracking progress toward reducing emissions across the sector.

The 2025 data are available on the IAI website.
