The IKE model developed in this study is the most transparent provincialised model for Chinese power grid available at this time.

This study outlines the development of a life-cycle model of Chinese grid power at a national level, further developed at regional and provincial levels to better assess the cradle-to-gate life cycle impacts of primary aluminium production in China.
