Beyond 2 Degrees: The Outlook for The Aluminium Sector Factsheet

Published in

2021

This factsheet looks at key statistics in the areas of mining, refining, smelting, and recycling. It compares 2018 figures with the greenhouse gas budget assigned to the aluminium sector under B2DS by 2050.

The International Aluminium Institute recently released the aluminium sector’s decarbonisation dataset in line with the International Energy Agency’s Beyond 2 Degrees Scenario (B2DS) findings, which sets out a pathway in line with global climate goals.

In addition to the factsheet, the full dataset for 2018, 2030, 2035, 2040, 2045 and 2050 and a methodology report are also available to download.
